Web10 Jul 2024 · Basically what happened was that there was a bug due to reusing the same terminal description when evaluating the "use=" clauses and merging them. I fixed that in 20240609 + modify _nc_merge_entry () to make a copy of the data which it merges, to avoid modifying the source-data when aligning extended names. Web30 Jan 2014 · I wonder, is xterm-256color better than gnome-256color, since xfce4-terminal uses VTE, which is a Gnome project? Edit: I've been using gnome-256color for years. Web7 Oct 2011 · So, if i run 'xterm /bin/dash' from the menu, xterm works like it should. That also works with any other installed shell as an argument. Also, the shell used by xterm is inherited, for example if I start xterm from menu with 'xterm /usr/bin/fish' and start another xterm with no arguments from it, the new xterm also uses fish as the shell.
