The GO II is a lot better than the GO I. Of course if you want a higher quality more controllable audio result, I think just getting a better Lav mic would be a good option. I haven’t used the wireless go II extensively but the rode lavalier is terrible.

On it being expensive the Rode Wireless Go II started at exactly the same price but as it's been out for quite some time can be had for ~260€ (compared to the 329€ the DJI Mic sells at). And I'd say it improves over the Go II in a couple of ways.
